In the heat of the Sahara Desert, amidst the sand and challenging terrain, a unique journey is about to unfold!

On the 14th of April, David Micallef will embark on the Marathon des Sables, which spans over multiple days, covering approximately 250 kilometers of desert landscape. What makes David’s journey even more extraordinary is his plan to bring a piece of home with him – specifically, Pierre Cordina’s Breakfast show, Bay Easy Breakfast!

During the Marathon des Sables, participants must carry all their supplies, navigate the harsh environment, and endure extreme conditions with limited resources. Communication with the outside world is virtually non-existent, with no phone signal, no internet connectivity, and certainly no electricity to power devices.

Amidst the challenges of the desert, David seeks motivation in familiar, friendly voices and music. With no access to live broadcasts, David found a creative solution: pre-downloading episodes of Pierre Cordina’s Breakfast show to his device so he can enjoy the engaging content and his inspirational quotes even in the most remote corners of the Sahara.

“I enjoy listening daily to Pierre Cordina,” David told Bay Easy. “Life there will be full of ups and downs. I’m sure that listening to the breakfast show will lift my morale, especially if I can listen to some of his encouraging quotes.”
