Festa Frawli Returns to Mġarr This Spring!

As springtime breathes new life into the Maltese countryside, the picturesque village of Mġarr is once again preparing to host one of the island’s most beloved celebrations – Festa Frawli, the annual Strawberry Festival 🍓

What to Expect at Festa Frawli 2025

🍓 A Feast of Flavours

Local farmers will present the freshest and juiciest strawberries, handpicked for the occasion. Acclaimed chefs will craft a wide array of treats – from refreshing beverages and savoury bites to luscious desserts. A highlight of the day will be the unveiling of an enormous strawberry cake made specially for the festival.

Renowned chefs Francesco Sultana and Christina Mousu will take to the stage to showcase innovative strawberry recipes, each with a unique Maltese twist.

🛍️ Artisan Stalls & Local Crafts

Festival-goers can browse through stalls filled with handmade souvenirs, local produce, and strawberry-themed merchandise – the perfect mementos of a sweet day out.

🚶‍♂️ Guided Tours of Mġarr

Four distinct walking tours will depart every hour, offering participants a chance to explore the village’s hidden treasures, including a visit to the Palma Wheat Mill and discounted entry to the historic Ħaġrat and Skorba Temples.

🎨 Family-Friendly Activities

Children can look forward to an engaging lineup of activities, from art corners to interactive exhibits, all taking place within the lively main square.

🎶 Live Music & Entertainment

Throughout the day, the square will come alive with performances by local artists, musicians, and dancers. DJ Pierre Cordina will headline the entertainment on the main stage, ensuring non-stop energy from morning till evening.

Getting There

• By Public Transport: Buses 44, 238, and 101 (from Ċirkewwa) all stop near the venue.
• By Car: A Park & Ride service will operate from Triq l-Infetti, with additional parking spaces nearby.
